Organising a bridal shower? If you really want to spoil the bride, consider a spa day!

I was invited to review the Royale Opulence Package, a half-day spa spoil at the Cape Royale Hotel & Spa in Green Point and darlings – I think it’s a lovely, luxurious and yet affordable option for spa day bridal shower.

The Royal Opulent Package includes a Paternoster Crayfish Benedict breakfast with a glass of sparkling wine, a 45 minute muscle release back massage and a 30 minute petit manicure (valued at R 565 per person).

I couldn’t make breakfast so I was treated to lunch at the hotel’s beautiful purple and chocolate brown Bistro 1800°. I ordered the Chairman’s Wrap, a tasty tortilla wrap filled with chicken, avocado, tomato and lettuce.

After lunch I was escorted to the Sky Bar, the hotel’s pool bar and rooftop venue that boosts some of the most awesome views! As I stood there admiring the views, watching the clouds roll over the mountain (quite magical), I imagined the venue on a summery afternoon –  it would be stunning location for a sunset engagement party or post-pamper party drinks.

Next up was my back massage and manicure at Equinox Spa, the hotel spa. Sam was my lovely therapist and I have to say that she gives the BEST back massages! I’ve never had someone work the knots out of my shoulders like she did!

Bridesmaids – treating the bride to a good back massage is a great way to help her relax and let go of any wedding planning tension. Hey, you might need a massage too!
