Looking for pin-worthy, whimsical jewellery for your wedding day?
Okay, I don’t often do this. What I mean is that I don’t often publish press releases on Oh Darling Days. However, when Anna from SMITH Jewellery sent me a personal email with photos of her wedding and new collections -Wedding and Quiver – I sort of fell in love her whimsical jewellery. And you know how it goes – when you love something you just want to tell and show your friends!
Cast out of bronze and finally rose gold plated, each piece is hand carved. The Quiver range is inspired by the seed pods of the Quiver tree while the Wedding rage was inspired by her own wedding.
Anna says that these new ranges have been created for modern brides who, like her, want something other than pearls.
For her own wedding (photographed by the talented Monica Dart), Anna created unique once-off pieces by incorporating her grandmother’s antique coral brooch with the Rose Gilt Garland Comb. She also found carved coral to add to her earrings while her bridesmaids wore Rose Gilt Garland Earrings.
Delicate-looking but durable, I love the idea of jewellery that could outlast the dress, be worn again and again, and could even be handed down through generations as a family heirloom. If you like what you see, visit www.smith-jewellery.com for more info.
