Making Space

While my body makes space for a growing baby, and my Mr and I make space for his arrival, I’ve realised I need space to allow this blog to grow too…

For the past few months, I’ve spent less time actively working on Oh Darling Days. Instead, I’ve been listening to inspiring podcasts, while folding baby clothes and cleaning out cupboards (I’m all about freeing up space at the moment), and making mental notes about what I want in life and if Oh Darling Days could evolve into part of that.

This month I had to decide whether to renew the site or not. To be honest, I wasn’t entirely sure. Oh Darling Days has seen me through so many highs and lows, but sometimes I wonder if this blog journey shouldn’t reach a conclusion or at least a change in direction.

I’ve decided to renew, but the focus has to change. As much as I love weddings, so much has changed since I was a wedding obsessed fiancée with a shiny new blog.

It’s been suggested that I become a mommy blogger, but with no disrespect to anyone rocking that department, the idea doesn’t appeal to me. I have felt far too blessed to have been able to wrap myself and my growing child happily in seclusion, avoiding as many of the pressures placed on pregnant women, to give that all up now.*

So space is all I’m left with… and it’s not a bad place start. When there’s a little space, the possibilities with what to fill it with are endless.

So, for now, all I can really tell you is, “Watch this space, everything is changing...”

I believe that change is a very GOOD thing when it comes to blogging. After all, blogging should be fun and be about what resonates most with you, where you are in your life right now. Well, I like to think that anyway. I started GHB a few years ago, got bored of it, but kept it up, and now I’m back to blogging there again. It’s a newfound passion and I’m loving it!

I think you’re going to have fun evolving Oh Darling Days into something that you enjoy right now – that fits into your life.

I love that picture – so many exciting things on the way for you! :)
