Whether or not you’re planning a bridal shower, take a tea break with me and be inspired by this lovingly created tea party styled shoot. And while we’re taking about styled shoots, let’s take a minute to get real about the obsession with beauty…
Styled shoots, they’re everywhere. Why? They’re all about pretty pictures, right?
That’s what I thought but, lately I’ve been looking at them a bit differently… READ MORE
Are you cooking the same old supper staples every week? Feeling bored with your weekday dinner options?
I know I am. If it’s not grilled children with a side salad and potato wedges its stir fry… Yawn.
Seriously, I need some cooking inspiration. So, I’ve been looking for healthy, budget-friendly dinner ideas that seem to be easy enough for someone who doesn’t enjoy cooking.
If you need some pretty inspiration as much as I do today, you have to see these breathtaking photos of Elanie and Chrisjan’s intimate wedding vow renewal.
Elanie and Chrisjan decided to tie the knot – again. Along with their two daughters and closest family and friends, they renewed their wedding vows in a church wedding ceremony and enjoyed an intimate outdoor reception afterwards. Every detail, from the setting and photography (by Charl van der Merwe) to the pretty table décor, is magnificent.
Whether you’re planning your wedding or a dinner party, here are five budget-friendly DIY décor ideas that will help you get the look you love without breaking the bank…
Chic and cost-effective, I love the table décor at Lizel & Guy’s wedding. To get the look, instead of hiring or buying expensive vases, start saving glass jars, cool drink and wine bottles. Since bottles have a narrow neck, you only need to use one or two flowers per bottle so you’ll use far less flowers than one would in a full table flower arrangement. So this idea not only saves you the cost of vases, it will reduce the spend on fresh flowers too. READ MORE

“In a bridal market with so much over embellishment and lack of variety, I wanted to set the modern bride free to look as enchanting and have as much fun as possible on her special day without being weighed down by excessive, restrictive petticoats and overstated trimmings. It is her unique spirit that should be on display in the most magnificent way. That is what we strive to achieve with our pieces,” explains Abigail Betz, designer and owner of Abigail Betz Bridal Couture. READ MORE
“I want a marriage that is more beautiful than my wedding day” – Unknown
That’s one of my favourite quotes about marriage. Okay, so it seems like a pretty tall order because seriously, who looks like a bride every single day?! But I get it… the sentiment is that marriage should be celebrated every day and not just the wedding day. That’s what I like about this married couple photo session. READ MORE
